As many of you may know I am a huge bubble tea fan, I do usually go for the more independent franchises.
Still, it’s always nice to try out different boba shops around york, so, I thought I’d try out a larger bubble tea company, Bubbleology, located at 17 Coney St, York YO1 9QL.
What Is Bubbleology?
Bubbleology is a shop located at 17 Coney St, York YO1 9QL, which serves delicious bubble tea, bubble waffles, and milk tea to all customers.
Bubbleology was first created in Soho, London in 2011. They love to give out to the community and pride themselves on “selling smiles, and not just products”
My First Impressions of Bubbleology York
When I first saw the shop what stood out to me the most was the bright rainbow coloured logo above the door, well needed to be able to stand out from the rest of the busy high street.
The exterior is dark but colour theme gives the place a very modern look compared to most traditional boba tea shops.
Everyone walking past was looking at the array of colours coming from within attracting not just me. I couldn’t wait to find out that was instore for me.
My Experience at Bubbleology York
Inside the interior was small with dark walls a light wood paneling. I felt it was very different to other boba shops that I’d visited as bubbleology didn’t give me a warm, cosy feeling when entering.
I did like the counter display how they used the different coloured pearls to match the layout of colours in the logo design.
I thought this was creative and wondered if it was something every Bubbleology shop did.
⭐ All the staff were friendly and worked efficiently. My drink was made and in my hands within minutes which is amazing.
The menu has lots of variations of bubble tea, like 11 versions of milk tea, 10 fruit teas, 3 versions of bubble fizz which is fruit bubble tea with a fizzy fruit drink instead of the usual fruit tea, lights, 3 naked cremes which are the same as fruit teas with added creme and 8 cocktail drinks.
This is one of the largest menus I’ve seen and can’t wait to try more.
What I Ordered at Bubbleology York
I ordered a regular raspberry fruit tea for £3.59 with additional tapioca.
The drink was fruity and strong and the tapioca was chewy and delicious.
Due to it being a hot day, I ordered 50% ice which made the drink way more refreshing to counteract the weather.
If I decide to return, I would most likely order another variation of the fruit drink and maybe order some extra tapioca with it.

Where To Park In York near Bubbleology?
local car parks in the are include 🚗 Q-park shambles which is only a 5 minute walk away for 2.90 per hour, Coppergate Car Park which is also just a short distance and costs £3 per hour.
There are also many bike parks in the area like Davygate cycle park which is a 2 minute walk, St martins cycle park which is a 1 minute walk and Parliament St. South Cycle Parking which is a 4 minute walk.

Final Thoughts
Bubbleology sells one of the largest ranges of bubble tea i’ve seen with lots of beautiful delicious additions like tapioca which I added for a small extra cost.
I think Bubbleology is the perfect place to stop for a cool refreshing drink on a warm day. The modern and plain design isn’t really my cup of tea but it wouldn’t stop me coming back soon.
