I’ve always enjoyed the Cats Whiskers cat cafe for its vast number of cats and its delicious cake.
To accompany it, I’ve compiled all my favourite things to do as a cat lover and created my ultimate day out for cat lovers such as myself.
The Cat’s Whiskers Cafe

The ‘Cat’s Whiskers’ cat cafe, a cozy cafe in the heart of York, is filled with dozens of cats of different shapes and sizes.
🐈 It reminded me so much of home, allowing me to play, stroke, and sit with all my furry friends whilst enjoying some of my favorite treats.
Here you are never without company if you are visiting alone or with friends don’t forget to book your table at Cat’s Whiskers Cafe as walk-ins aren’t available.
Also, beware of the ginger cat as he was a sneaky little bugger, and tried stealing some of my brownies!

The Cat Trail
![York Cat Trail - Cat 18](https://discoveringyork.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Cat-18-York-Cat-Trail.jpg)
The Cat Trail’s original shop, York Lucky Cats, a small shop where you can buy small glass figures of cats, has created the York Cat Trail to promote their business and make a fun feline adventure for kids and families.
I thoroughly enjoyed how fun and inquisitive it was, and it even proved to be a fun challenge to see who could spot them first.
However, as the streets got busy, we had to ask for a helping hand from one of the other people so we could remove ourselves from the crowd quickly.

The Cat Gallery

The cat gallery, a small giftshop residing in York’s center, is a cozy place to buy small presents for anyone you so wish.
The items available are all cute little trinkets that are easy to gift to another, i really like some of the bags they sell as they have cute designs on and I can even keep them for myself.
They have lots of cat-themed items like clothing or bag designs, pictures, artworks, or my favorite of them, small pieces of jewelry that resemble them.
I’ve bought multiple items from here and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of each.

Doggie and Moggie
Doggie and moggie is a friendly cat and dog groomer, as my partner is more of a dog lover, I went with my friends to see what it was like, and the result was amazing.
They took amazing care of her cat and went out of their way to make the experience good and non-harmful.
Each pet is given its own cage to avoid any harm or contamination of ill or dirty dogs which I think is very hygienic and healthy, which makes these dog groomers run much better and cleaner.
They are swift with their procedures and don’t waste time.

I recently visited Pet Pantry, and I was amazed by the extensive selection of pet supplies they offer.
From high-quality food to unique toys, it felt like a paradise for pet lovers.
Pets For Home
I found a warm and inviting atmosphere at Pets for Home York that made me feel right at home.
Their commitment to providing the best products for pets was evident in the carefully curated selection.
Jolleys
Jolleys York was another fantastic stop on my pet supply journey.
The store had a vibrant vibe, and I loved exploring their range of pet accessories and treats. It’s also one of the newer pet shops to open over in Monks Cross.
Final Thoughts
My cat lover’s day out in York offers a delightful blend of feline-themed experiences that celebrate our furry friends.
From the cozy ambiance of Cat Whiskers Cafe, where visitors can enjoy a cup of tea while cuddling with adoptable cats, to the charming cat trail that leads you through the city’s cat-inspired landmarks.
