Les Crepes is an offshoot of Kreps, an independent artisan street food creperie. Kreps, founded in 2016, has a permanent spot at the York Shambles food market.
This year, Kreps has expanded its presence to join in the festive atmosphere of the York Christmas market by introducing the popular Les Crepes food truck.
What sets Les Crepes apart is its use of fresh, organic ingredients. The crepes are crafted with homemade batter made from organic flour, locally sourced free-range eggs, and milk.
Adding a unique twist to their crepes, Les Crepes incorporates their own branded products into the creation process.

My Food at Les Crepes York Christmas Market
Approaching the crepe truck, i was greeted by a cheerful young woman. I was undecided between customizing my own crepe or selecting from the menu.
Seeking recommendations, the lady suggested the salted caramel or pistachio butter crepes, both made with their exclusive branded products also available for individual purchase at the stall.
I opted for the salted caramel crepe, I observed the skilled staff creating the crepe with precision and artistry.
Served in a triangular cardboard cone, the crepe arrived piping hot. Its thin, fluffy texture and the delightful flavor of the sweet salted caramel made it an instant favorite. I highly recommend it.
How Much is Les Crepes?
Purchasing the salted caramel crepe cost me £6.95, which I found to be quite reasonable compared to other crepe stalls nearby.
I would definitely come back for another one or visit their main stall in the Shambles food court.
