The inviting ambiance of the pub, the welcoming staff, and the tantalizing aromas all contributed to the anticipation.

While the carvery and cakes stood out as the main attractions, the extensive main menu offered a diverse selection of dishes.

My Experience

Accompanied by my family, we made our way to Pear Tree Farm on a bustling Sunday, heeding the advice of friends to secure a reservation.

Their counsel proved wise, as upon our arrival, we observed a queue forming at the entrance.

The hostess efficiently managed to seat guests swiftly, guiding them to their designated tables. The establishment had a comforting and inviting ambiance, instantly putting us at ease.

I placed our food order at the bar, then we proceeded to the carvery deck and were promptly served after a brief wait.

After generously filling my plate, I returned to our table to indulge in the feast. Shortly thereafter, a young waitress approached to inquire about our satisfaction.

I asked for extra gravy, she was more than happy to fulfilled the request. Although i was too full for dessert, I couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to enjoy later.

After much decision, I ultimately settled on the carvery, enticed by the enticing array of options on the deck.

I opted for the standard plate and turned out to be a wise choice, as the carvery chef promptly took my ticket and inquired about my meat preferences.

The selection included turkey, beef, gammon, and pork, and I couldn’t resist sampling a bit of each. Additionally, I was offered two Yorkshire puddings, but given their substantial size, I opted for just one.

The assortment of trimmings on display was a sight to behold, with each item steaming hot and freshly prepared.

The spread featured stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots, new potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, parsnips, green beans, and crispy roast potatoes.

To top it off, there were two varieties of gravy available – traditional and minted.

Drink Selection At Pear Tree Farm

Pear Tree Farm has an impressive selection of beverages, including numerous draught beers, soft drinks and a single cask ale (Greeneking IPA).

As I’m participating in Dry January, I inquired about their non-alcoholic options. They have an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks, including ciders, lagers, and spirits.

Among these, the Heineken 0% on draught came highly recommended as a customer favorite. I decided to give it a try.

While I was at the bar, I noticed other customers ordering an exceptionally large cola.

Curious, I asked the server about it and learned that they offer an “ultimate glass of cola,” which is nearly double the size of a large but only costs an additional 30p. It’s something I might consider for my next visit.

We went here the other day! Such an amazing night. The only thing I’d say is to watch out if you going through January like I did because the kitchen closing times have changed.

So glad you had an amazing time. Hope you had the opportunity to try one of their cakes? I contacted the pub the other day and the times I’ve advertised in the article are correct and apparently change again in February.

Pizza Hut has become so expensive recently. It cost us £68 for 2 adults and a child last week! At least the carvery at Pear Tree Farm is reasonably priced.
But I do like both HA HA
